The Downing Investment Company was owned and operated by Warwick Miller Downing and James M. Downing. Warwick Downing was a lawyer, born in Illinois in 1875. He was the son of James M. Warwick and Ella Margaret Summers Downing. Prior to entering business with his son Warwick, James was a real estate developer.
